The name Agate is derived from the ancient Greek work “achates” as it was originally discovered in the river Achates in sothwestern Sicily. Blue Lace Agate is named for its delicate “lace like” banding. Believed to be a wonderful healing stone, cooling and calming and bringing peace of mind. Pale milky blue with paler and darker banding.
