Tourmalinated Quartz

Tourmalinated Quartz

Legend - A variety of quartz containing included needles of Tourmaline called Schorl. Some think the name Quartz comes from the Saxon word “querklufterz” meaning “cross vein ore”.  The name Schorl was in use prior to 1400AD after a village in Saxony, Germany which had a nearby tin mine where black Tourmaline was found.

Properties - Believed to bring together the properties of Quartz and Tourmaline creating an effective grounding stone which strengthens the body’s energy field.  Turns negative thoughts into positive ones.

Description - These Tourmalinated Quartz beads are milky to translucent quartz with black inclusions varying in density.  Mixes wonderfully with Black Onyx.  Sold as temporary strung 40cm (approx) strands.
