Tigereye Beads

Tigereye Beads

Legend - Tigereye gets its name from its resemblance to the eye of a tiger.  This is due to its strong chatoyance.  It is also been called Griqulandite, named from where the best examples were found - Griquland, South Africa.  It is a quartz with rich shades of honey, yellow and brown with a silky luster with fibrous inclusions of crocidolite.

Properties - In ancient times it was used to protect from evil spirits and evil doers.  Today it is used for its positive effects.

Description - These Tigereye Beads are typical shades with a good polish.  Sold as temporary strung 40cm (approx) strands.
