Dalmation Jasper 8mm Round Beads

Jasper was a favourite of ancient times.  A microcrystalline variety of Quartz which often contains organic material and tin oxides which account for its interesting patterns and colours. Believed to be a protective stone against evil spirits and forces.  It is said to bring courage and relief from pain. As its name implies, it is an opaque white to grey stone delicately spotted with brownish and black spots - reminiscent of a dalmation  Sold as temporary strung 40cm (approx) strands.
