SARDONYX BEADS
Legend
Named from the Greek word Sard (meaning reddish brown) and the black layer Onyx (finger nail or claw). A variety of agate. The Sumerians, Egyptians, Greeks and Romans all used Sardonyx to ward off evil. It was also once used as a protection against the plague.
Properties
Folklore says that Sardonyx helps promote healthy relationships and balances heaven and earth. It is also believed to be a stone of protection and strength increasing stamina and vigor. Black Sardonyx absorbs negativity.
Description
Highly polished black Onyx with the occasional banding pattern of white and grey with the odd brownish mark. Sold as temporary strung 40cm (approx) strands.
