About the Artist:     Alison Rowland - Blue Forest Jewellery

I've always had a passion for jewellery. First for owning and wearing it, and more recently for making it. I hope you enjoy my designs. I make items I would like to wear myself. My love of pearls, semi-precious stones and smoky quartz will become clear as you browse. If you would like to see more of my work or are interested in purchasing these pieces, please visit my Etsy shop or email me.

These lampwork beads (handcrafted by Isabelle Anderson) are simply stunning. Shades of blue, silver and ivory swirl within them. They remind me of the earth viewed from space! Swarovski crystals, Karen Hill Tribe silver beads and clasp complete this piece.

About the Artist:     Terry Carruth

I have been making jewellery for a number of years but became frustrated when I couldn’t get pendants to match my beads, so I studied Silverworking at the PCAD  and now fabricate all my own silverwork.  I like working with natural materials and in particular semi precious stones as I just love their subtle colours and variations.  My latest passion is lapidary.  I am now creating my own cabochons so I can get exactly what I want.  I sell my designs at various trade fairs and BeadShopUk website under the tradename of “Reflections”.

I loved the unusual colours of this Ocean Jasper and chose matte black Jade beads to create a choker style necklace and a small 5mm facetted Black Onyx to provide symmetry. I created the tube bail by reticulating and fusing the silver, then forming into a tube and oxidising. To finish I added a necklace extender adorned with a Bali bead.

Luscious plum jade beads with powder blue aventurine, add some delicate faceted amethyst rounds and silver tone spacers and you have a palette of colours to flatter any skin tone. The plum jade beads have a lovely texture – not faceted, but rough tumbled so they add to the shine of this necklace.

The necklace is finished with a silver tone lobster claw clasp. The beads used for around your neck are tiny blue aventurines, making this necklace really comfortable to wear.

Blue Planet Necklace

Rich pink rhodonite beads, dark coffee jasper ‘coin’ pebbles with smaller leopard skin jasper and rhodonite beads create this mouth-watering necklace. Strung and knotted with baby pink beading cord, it fastens with a sterling silver lobster claw clasp.

The graduation of the rhodonite beads (from 8mm to 10mm), and the central station with the dark brown and beautifully striated coffee jasper pebbles make a real statement.

About the Artist:     Alita Porter - Doric Dragons

I live in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, with my wonderful husband, two dogs and four cats

After working for many years as a graphic artist and illustrator, I am now working on my own stuff for a change! I mainly work in acrylic, watercolour or pen and ink.

In the last eighteen months my paintings have become more and more abstract. I also work a lot with polymer clay, creating jewellery, small sculptures and “paintings”

Some of my work is on my web site – http://www.doricdragons.co.uk

I also have a blog site: http://doricdragons.wordpress.com/

Amazonite beads have been intricately wrapped with copper wire to produce a really unusual and attractive pendant.  I particularly love the copper “woven” bead.
