Azurite is a deep dark brilliant blue called “azure” which comes from the Persian word “Lazhward” meaning blue. The blue colour is caused by its copper content. Azurite is used in dyes and was used as a pigment in oil painting during the Middle Ages and Renaissance.
Properties
The Ancient Egyptians used it to raise consciousness to a higher level and it is also said to be soothing and emotionally calming.
Description
Vibrant green malachite complements the deep blue of the azurite making these beads a beautiful two toned. Sold as temporary strung 40cm (approx) strands.
